Overdraft Protection Plus Service

  • Overdraft Protection Plus allows the credit union to pay an item(s) presented on a member’s checking
account when the checking account does not have sufficient funds on deposit to pay the item(s). The
payment of such items will allow the account to become overdrawn, while protecting you from
credit bureau problems, merchant fees, and potential embarrassment associated with returned
checks and ACH (automated clearing house) items.
  • Overdraft Protection Plus does not replace other overdraft protection arrangements. Overdraft transfers
will be made to an overdrawn account first and the overdraft transfer fee will be charged. Overdraft
Protection Plus payments will be applied for any remaining balance of the item(s), up to the overdraft
    limit, as deemed necessary.
  • The credit union may, at its sole discretion, pay the item(s) up to the authorized overdraft limit, and will
charge the account an Overdraft Protection Plus fee of $30.00 for each overdraft item paid. A notice will be
sent to the account holder for each occurrence.
  • Members who do not desire this service must notify the credit union, requesting to be excluded. OverdraftProtection Plus is not a loan and may be revoked by the credit union at any time without notice.
